Hi, I'm Bahtyah Benyameen, and I am passionate about helping others navigate their healing journey. As an advocate (INFJ) personality type, I am deeply committed to guiding individuals through life's challenges with empathy, insight, and a strong sense of social justice.
I began my academic journey at the University of South Florida, where I earned a Bachelor's degreein Criminolgy. It was during that time I discovered my passion for mental and behavioral health, which led mme to pursue a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Winthrop University (2020). Since then, I have dedicated over a decade to supporting individuals using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed interventions.
My Apporach to Therapy
I believe therapy should feel like a safe place a space where you can show up as your full, authentic self without fear of judgment. Your experiences, emotions, and challenges deserve to be met with understanding and care. You are the expert of yourself, and my job is to guide and support you.
I often describe my therapy style as a "GPS for healing": Tell me where you are, tell me where you want to go, and together, we'll find the best route to get you there. Whether you're navigating everyday stressors or struggling with deeper trauma, I provide personalized treatment plans and coping strategies tailored to your unique needs.
Who I Work Best With
I am the therapist for you if you're ready to do the work, if you're committed to gowth and willing to engage in the process, even when it feels challenging. If you're feeling stuck in the difficulties of therapy, unsure of how to move forward, or struggling with the emotions that come up along the way, I will help you break through those barriers. We'll work together to identify patterns, recognize strengths, and develop actions steps that create lasting change.
My motto is simple: "Healing is messy, and growing is real." The process won't always be easy, but it will be worth it. Growth takes time, and healing isn't linear, but with the right support, you can navigate through it and come out stronger.
If my apporach resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. And if you're new to therapy, I can help you see it as a "Normal Empowerment Experience." No matter where you are on your journey, I wish you well as you continue on the path to healing.
